The Triola is a music education system that teaches children to
read and play music. It uses a crafty system that makes it easy
for children to understand music. They see a red note (C) on
the sheet music, they play the red key, green note (G), they
play the green key, etc.
You would not believe how much your children will enjoy this!
This instrument is not junk, it's handmade in Germany. Don't let
the kid-friendly look fool you, it's sturdy and plays VERY well.
A lot of children's instruments are, well, junk. Not this! It's
airtight and well tuned. Like I said, it's handmade in Germany
and they don't make junk in Germany.

More tips:
There's a flat place going down the right side of the Triola. You
can take a magic marker and write your kids' names there.
You can also take a permanent marker and write the names of
the notes, starting at C on the red key closest to the
mouthpiece. That will help them identify keys with actual notes.
I did that with my children's and when we have music time, I can
tell them to play ''A'' etc.
You can help them understand chord and discord, by having
them hold down different arrangements of three keys at the
same time.
If you play music, you can play rhythm. Play a G chord, tell them
to play green and let them hear how it sounds. Play a C and do
the same, etc. You can teach them how only certain notes will
fit in with certain chords. Just remember, the Triola only plays
naturals in the key of C.
German expatriates can purchase the German songbook to
reinforce German nursery rhymes, language and help keep
them rooted in their heritage.
