2009 Mid Ohio Valley Harmonica Championship
                        Sept. 19, 2009
Belleville Homecoming Grounds, Belleville, W.Va.

O.K. gang, here's the scoop, the festival is gonna be noon to 2 p.m. Sept. 19, at the Belleville Homecoming grounds on W.Va. 68, in
Belleville (between Ravenswood and Parkersburg) same place as last year. The grounds are right beside W.Va. 68, so it's impossible
to miss.
The HARPBeats are coming down, unless something happens. Jason Ricci has also expressed an interest in coming down again, as
he did last year.
The homecoming is a small-town festival, a neat thing of itself, built on the back of pickle-eating contests and the old-fashion like.
We're gonna have the harmonica contest, the Mid-Ohio Valley Harmonica Championship, same as last year. Prizes should be even
better than last year for the harmonica contest... last year, we gave out a Seydel 1847 and a really SAHWEET! leather harmonica case
from Cumberland Cases. In addition to the 1847, Seydel also donated a Big Six and a Solist last year as prizes. I plan to have similar
prizes this year.
Any type of harmonica is welcome. Any type of music is welcome.

I'm putting up a prize, a  Seydel Hochlandsklaenge tremolo/octave harmonica that will be a special prize for an old-time tremolo player.

Each contestant gets five minutes to play two songs. If time allows, they can have more if they wish. Contestants may have one
accompanist. Entry fee is $14, $4 of which is collected at the gate. Both prizes and cash donations are accepted with gratitude.

See you there.
