Igor Flach is one of my favorite harmonica
players and it was a shame to hear of his
death in March 2008 of heart disease at the
intensive care unit of the Berlin Cardiology
Center.
Igor was born on the March 13, 1965 in East
Berlin. He learned to play harmonica around
age 10. He initially was a great blues
harmonica player, but later defied any attempt
to pigeonhole him in a genre as he
incorporated numerous folk sounds and
rhythms into his playing.
